Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta Hosts Annual Bike Giveaway
Local nonprofit to distribute more than 700 bikes to metro Atlanta kids
ATLANTA, December 6, 2022— Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta will distribute more than 700 bikes to local youth during its 7th annual bike giveaway day.
The event will take place on Saturday, December 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta warehouse at MET Atlanta (680 Murphy Ave. SW, Suite 2057, Atlanta, GA 30310).
“We are thrilled to brighten the holidays for kids across our community who can use some help and joy this season,” said Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta Executive Director Margie Cohen. “Providing a kid with a bike encourages them to build new skills, develop healthy habits, and gain access to opportunities they otherwise might not experience. And, bikes mean fun!”
Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta works with local community partners who select recipients from their organizations. This year’s partners include: Atlanta Public Schools, International Rescue
Committee, Safe Routes to Schools, The Salvation Army, Warrick Dunn Charities, and Welcoming Atlanta. Every registered kid will receive a bike from Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta and a brand-new helmet courtesy of the Truist Financial Corporation. Since 2016, Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta has distributed more than 4,100 bikes and counting to kids in need across the metro Atlanta community.
